Possibly the most exciting event was a visit from the Mom-in-law. She came for 10 days during the first half of August and it was a lot of fun having her stay with us. Shortly after she arrived, we all hopped on a ferry and headed up to Petersburg for a quick visit with my parents. While we were there we enjoyed the scenery and a boating adventure. I promise no matter what you heard, I didn't really try to sink the boat!
Back in Ketchikan there were visits to the Blueberry Arts Fest, shopping trips, and tasty dinners. One of my favorite activities was taking Mama K out to the gun range to try out a few of my guns. She did awesome! She plinked around with the .22 and the .38, but she really shined when firing the .45, wow!
All-in-all this has been an excellent summer, but now that things are cooling down and its getting dark earlier maybe we'll have time to curl up with a computer and update this thing a little more often. Much love to you all- James
